  • In industria textilă la prelucrarea țesăturilor impermeabile
,,Alum is a salt that reacts strongly acid in aqueous solution. Alum is used medically as an aqueous solution , for example as a percent solution to the mucous membrane treatment , two to ten percent solution for application to the skin. The solutions are irritating to corrosive. It comes to burns of the mouth , if two percent aqueous solutions were drunk . In addition, there are reports of children who have taken two to four grams of concentrated solutions or solid alum to himself and died .In homemade play dough alum is added as a humectant , usually about 20-40 g / kg clay . In addition, the dough contains salt , flour and a little water . This mass can affect mucous membranes and tastes terrible . With serious health by alum in the finished clay is not to be expected . If the children large amounts (more than 1 teaspoon) eat this dough , but the salt stress can be a problem. In such a case, a poison control center should be contacted in order to clarify the dose and circumstances and, if appropriate treatment instituted .Aluminum bonded to the skin cells : We tanning alive.Journalist Bert Ehgartner shows a startling evidence about the dangers of aluminum in the Bezirksblätter series. Before people even knew what is aluminum, it has already been used for the tanning of hides. Namely in the form of alum . The production of alum was enormously time-consuming , the result of fluctuating quality . "Good alum " had a high proportion of aluminum sulfate. Its toxicity and stench were the reason why the profession of Gerber was little regarded , and they had to settle in specific areas on the outskirts .Radical reduction of aluminumIn today's deodorants not alum, aluminum chlorohydrate, but is most often used - but its mode of action is similar to that of tanning : When applied to the skin, the bioactive aluminum ions are released and combine with proteins in the skin. The cells will then be fused together , the skin pores close and the possibility of forming welding is greatly reduced. So we tanned skin alive. The proportion of the aluminum compound in Deo is enormous and can be up to 20 percent of the entire contents be . " Such high doses endanger the safety of consumers even in normal use ," was recently the expertise of the French Agency for the Safety of Health Products .In a statement to Brussels by the EU called on French authorities to finally decide stricter guidelines for cosmetics and a radical reduction of the aluminum in all products for a share of more than 0.6 percent. Moreover, it should on all aluminum deodorants the clearly visible inscription are printed : " Do not apply to broken skin ! " So take the experts on recent studies regarding that examined how much aluminum penetrates the skin and then later example provides in breast tissue for a higher risk of cancer. The scientists found that six times as much aluminum to penetrate the body when the armpits are shaved .Industry are clearThe cosmetics industry which presented before studies , which showed that the aluminum load is negligible by deodorants . "The majority is washed off in the shower and did not penetrate through the skin ," Emma Tuddenham , spokeswoman for the headquarters of EUKosmetik industry in Brussels , notes in this regard , " the strict regulative , which are valid for all cosmetic products and guarantee their safety ."Survive " Stinker " phaseWhen placing aluminum deodorants or when switching to alufreie products often creates a very unpleasant odor . This drives many back to the old deodorants . The real reason for the stench , however, is that the aluminum destroyed skin cells need to regenerate . So if you applied a little patience until the skin is healthy again and replaced the dead layer , smells soon as earlier.
Just a few minutes after applying a cream are contained therein aluminum particles detectable in the blood ."
